Womb is an opera that centers around childbirth through a C-section through an immersive experience of being inside the womb as a fetus, created by a light projection on an 50 feet inflatable dome. It uses dramatic fluid simulations as a theatre background and positions singers outside of performance space as shadows - altogether creating the feeling of the comforting yet unsettling experience of being inside the womb. Created as part of a new experimental collaboration for Opera on Tap in Kasser Theatre, NJ.
